Who We Are
Cosmetology Exam Prep provides online practice for the written theory exams in cosmetology, nail technology, esthetics and CA/TX Barber. Students can work through practice questions, read answer explanations and review topics they want to study further.
Start with 10 free questions in each English course: Cosmetology, Nail Technology, Esthetics or CA/TX Barber. Additional practice features depend on the course and access plan; see current plans for details.
What You Can Practice
- Multiple-choice questions and explanations on topics such as safety, infection control, hair, nails and skin care, depending on the course.
- Timed practice and topic-focused modes, with availability depending on the course, selected state and access plan.
- Practice results and missed-question review to help you decide what to study next.
Study and Licensing Guidance
Licensing requirements and exam arrangements vary by state and license. Our state guides link to official sources where reviewed information is available. Confirm application requirements, exam format and scheduling instructions with your state board and exam provider.
CEP practice is a study resource. Practice questions are not official exam questions, and a practice score does not establish licensing eligibility or guarantee an exam result.
